What an MoU between a university and a training provider means
A memorandum of understanding records an intention to cooperate. Universities sign them to enable activities such as guest lectures, workshops, student training, internships, certification, joint projects and faculty development. An MoU usually sets out the general framework; the specifics are agreed separately for each activity.
For students, the practical questions are which activities are scheduled, who runs them, whether they are part of the curriculum, whether there are fees and whether the university gives credit. Ask the department for specifics in writing.
