Refund & Cancellation

When course fees can be refunded, how much, how to ask for one, and how long the money takes to come back.

Last updated 21 August 2026

What this policy covers

This is the refund and cancellation policy of techcadd, 2nd Floor, Crystal Plaza, SCS 78, Opposite PIMS Hospital, Jalandhar, Punjab 144001, India. It covers fees paid for classroom and live online training at the Jalandhar centre.

No payment is collected through this website. Fees are paid at the centre or by transfer to the institute's account, and the admission form you sign there is the agreement that governs them. Where that form and this page differ, the signed form prevails.

Cancelling before the batch starts

Tell us in writing within 7 days of paying, and before your batch has started, and the fee is refunded in full apart from the non-refundable registration component described below.

A seat is held in a capped batch and turning down other students to hold it is the cost this covers, which is why it is the one part that does not come back.

Withdrawing after the batch has started

Once teaching has begun, a refund depends on when you tell us, counted from your batch's start date and not from the day you stopped attending:

  • Within 15 days of the start date: 50% of the fee paid is refunded, less the registration component.
  • After 15 days: no refund is due, because the seat, the trainer's time and the materials for the full term have already been committed.
  • Instalments already due are still payable for the period you were enrolled.

Not attending is not the same as withdrawing. A refund window runs from the date we receive your written request, so send it as soon as you decide.

What is never refunded

  • The registration and admission component, 15% of the course fee, which covers admission processing, the seat held for you and the study material issued.
  • Printed material, kits or software licences already issued to you.
  • Examination or certification fees already paid on your behalf to an external body.
  • Bank or transfer charges incurred in sending the money either way.

If we cancel or postpone

If we cancel a batch, or cannot start it within a reasonable time of the date you were given, you choose: move to another batch or another course of the same value, hold the fee as a credit, or take a full refund including the registration component.

A refund in that case is not discretionary. It is our failure to deliver, not your withdrawal.

A batch may occasionally be rescheduled — a holiday, a trainer's absence, a room. Rescheduled sessions are made up and are not a cancellation.

Transfers and deferrals instead of a refund

Most students who ask about a refund actually need a different timing. Before withdrawing, ask a counsellor about:

  • Moving to a later batch of the same course, once, at no charge.
  • Switching to a different course, with the fee adjusted against the new one.
  • Moving between classroom and live online delivery where the course runs in both.

These are usually settled the same day, and they keep the fee working for you rather than sending it back.

How to request a refund

Write to info@techcadd.com from the email address on your admission form, or hand a written request to the front desk at the centre. Include:

  • Your name, phone number and the course and batch you joined.
  • The date and amount paid, with the receipt number.
  • The reason you are withdrawing, and the date you decided.

We acknowledge in writing, confirm the amount due under this policy, and tell you if anything is missing.

How the money comes back

An approved refund is paid within 10 working days of approval, by bank transfer to an account in the student's name — or to the parent or guardian who paid, where that is who paid.

Refunds are made by the same route the payment came in wherever possible. We do not refund in cash.

You get a written confirmation with the amount, the deductions applied and the transfer reference.

If you disagree with the outcome

Ask for it to be reviewed. Write to info@techcadd.com marked for the Grievance Officer and we will respond within 15 working days with the calculation in full.

Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us is subject to the courts at Jalandhar, Punjab.

Before you withdraw, it is worth one call — a batch transfer or a deferral solves most timing problems and is settled the same day.
